Mentocaína-R, menthol flavoured, has an analgesic, astringent, antiseptic, and bactericidal action. It is especially indicated in hoarseness, pharyngitis, laryngitis, stomatitis, gingivitis, and aphthae. Available in a pack of 20 lozenges.

In what circumstances to use

Mentocaína-R is used to treat inflammations and infections of the oral cavity and oropharynx such as: sore throat, hoarseness, pharyngitis, laryngitis, stomatitis, gingivitis, and aphthae.

How to take/use

The usual dose in adults is 1 lozenge every hour, not to exceed ten lozenges a day.
The usual dose in children over 6 years of age is 3 to 5 lozenges a day, spaced throughout the day.

Mentocaine-R lozenges should dissolve slowly in the mouth to ensure an adequate concentration of the active substances in saliva. To obtain the desired effect they should preferably be taken between meals and should never be chewed or swallowed whole.
